Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit · approximately 184 MB

  1. Save SpaceAges-Portable.exe in a writable folder.
  2. Double-click it. Signed updates and included game files prepare automatically.
  3. Create your character or sign in.

Game data and the required runtime are included. No separate Dark Ages folder, .NET installation or developer tools are needed.

First launch creates Space Ages Data beside the EXE. Keep that folder with the EXE to preserve your preferences. An Internet connection and an OpenGL-capable graphics driver are required.

The portable launcher checks for updates each time you open it. If you have an older launcher, download this EXE once and replace your old EXE beside your existing Space Ages Data folder. Future updates install automatically; your preferences are preserved.

Native controls

Arrow keysMove through the station and connected sectors.

SpacebarFire your equipped coil carbine toward your facing. Walls block shots.

TabShow the sector map. Your position is marked in yellow.

/recoverCall emergency retrieval after suit failure. Equipment is retained.

Gameplay services are available through NPC conversations. Commands remain available as shortcuts.
